Alphapointe Plastics Division: The Capacity and Expertise to Help Companies Drive Topline Revenue
For more than 30 years, Alphapointe has been producing plastic products that do more than meet demand. They create opportunities.
Every prescription bottle, gallon jug, specimen container, and custom part coming off the line helps power something bigger: meaningful employment for people who are blind or visually impaired.
These products don’t just serve a wide-ranging customer base, they sustain careers, build independence, and strengthen a workforce too often overlooked. It’s manufacturing with purpose.
Call it “mission in motion” or “plastics with purpose.” At its core, Alphapointe’s Plastics Division operates like any high-performing manufacturer, driven by quality, efficiency, and customer needs. The difference is in who makes it all happen.
To better understand the strength behind this work the alignment of mission, expertise, and production, Tom England, Alphapointe’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing, offers a closer look at what makes the Alphapointe Plastics Division stand out.

Q: What types of products does the Alphapointe plastics division produce?
A: In our Plastics Division, we produce a wide variety of plastics packaging, products such as prescription bottles, spray bottles, gallon jugs, these are just a few examples of our high volume products. The machines that we use give us the capability to even produce highly specialized products for specific customers, using techniques such as extrusion blow molding, injection stretch blow molding, injection molding, and injection blow molding. Between those four different capabilities, we are able to manufacture a multitude of different plastic parts.
Q: As a manufacturer, do we have a specialty?
A: Our prescription bottles would definitely be our specialty. For decades now, we serve the nation’s largest federal pharmacy, and continue to do so.

Q: What are some advantages to partnering with Alphapointe?
A: If you are a business owner who wants to make a corporate and social impact, this is the best place that can be accomplished. When you partner with us, you are supporting our mission which is to continue to provide people with vision loss with meaningful employment, in turn giving them the opportunity to support themselves, support their families, and give back to their community, so any business arrangement we have means that you are helping us to move that mission forward, and continue to empower those with vision loss. From a more technical standpoint, we have quality built into our processes, using automation we are able to stay price competitive and relevant in our industry, and we are able to produce in large quantities, while using various types of product specifications. Also, sense we are a non-profit organization and are partnered with the Ability One program, through a partnership we are able to open new sales channels for a company who might need their product to reach more customers. If they have demand that they are struggling to fill, or an item that they believe would sell well in the federal government, we are able to open that door for them and meet their manufacturing needs.
Q: Who is our ideal customer?
A: With our current capabilities and capacity, our ideal customer is a company that is buying in bulk. For example, if you are a distributor, or a wholesaler, or an automated pharmacy that is buying by the truck load, those are quantities that we are able to handle. If a customer has a specification or a quality standard, we can plug that in and run it for our customers. Thanks to our capacity, we are also able to help any customers who might be struggling to meet their demand. Also, with our location in the Midwest, we have the ability to assist with shipping needs, keeping our customer’s shipping costs down. To put it simply, we can manufacture in bulk, we can plug in manufacturing specifications, help meet demand, and because of our location we can help with shipping to customers all over the country, and lower shipping costs.

Q: What is something that people should know about us that they probably do not know.
A: Its all about the mission. We are a mission driven organization. Our top priority is to create job opportunities for the community that we serve, which is the blind and visually impaired community. From a credibility stand point, we serve some of the nations largest automated pharmacies. We have been doing this for a long time, and have perfected our processes to where our customers will receive exactly what they need, and if it’s a matter of cost reduction, we are very competitive.
