The Alphapointe Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Alphapointe, playing a crucial role in supporting the organization’s mission to empower people who are blind or visually impaired.

About the Foundation

The foundation funds essential programming that enhances Alphapointe’s ability to provide services. By supporting these initiatives, the foundation helps individuals with vision loss gain independence, develop new skills, and access career opportunities. The foundation’s outreach efforts focus primarily in three areas:

  • Fundraising: through grants, special fundraising opportunities, and appeals to the community, our foundation helps support direct services to people with vision loss.
  • Advocacy: At the local, state, and national level, Alphapointe advocates on behalf of people with vision loss in communities, government agencies and leaders, as well as with businesses, all to further the mission of serving and employing those with vision loss.
  • Events: The Alphapointe Foundation is the arm of the organization that develops events and uses them to engage with the community and raise contributions that help support programs such as Alphapointe Adventure and Technology Camps, and provide services to more than 4,000 people of all ages each year.

Through the Foundation, Alphapointe is able to raise awareness about the challenges faced by those with visual impairments, while promoting inclusivity and community support.
